basic training bootcamp |

Basic Training Bootcamp consists of a 2 week or 4 week boarding and training program accompanied by 2 sessions. This is our basic obedience training program designed for dogs 6 months or older. During their stay we will teach your dog all of the basics needed for success. They will learn 5 basic commands (SIT, DOWN, STAY, COME and HEEL) as well as 3 corrective commands (OUT, OFF and LEAVE IT). This program teaches all commands on leash in both verbal and hand commands. Your dog will live in our home with our family where they will learn general house manners such as no jumping, nipping, or biting. They will learn to respect boundaries such as furniture, personal space, and thresholds. We will work on strengthening crate and house training as well as socialization with both children and other dogs. Upon completing the boarding portion of this program we will deliver your dog back home to you for your in-home training session*. At that time we will review everything your dog has learned and answer any questions that you may have. We will address basic dog psychology, proper reinforcement (both positive and negative), and show you how to maintain and increase your dog's obedience level. We will schedule our next follow-up session to be conducted within 7-10 days of your dog's return home. This session is designed to help with any transitional issues that may arise. These programs also include our comprehensive Training Manual. |
| * In-home sessions are available in the Frisco/Plano/Allen/McKinney area. We offer in-home sessions outside of this area for a small travel fee or can offer other options for follow-up training. |

| K-9 Bootcamp |
| Where we make "Bad" dogs "Good" and "Good" dogs "Better". |
| Why 2 or 4 weeks? A longer stay is required for dogs with behavioral issues. Issues such as Fear, Anxiety, Aggression, Dominance, or dogs with housebreaking issues may take a little more work, time, and patience. We require a longer stay in order to not rush training and ensure transference. |
| What do I bring? To provide a safe training environment for all trainees we ask that you bring your dog's own kennel. This gives him/her a home away from home and cuts down on the stress of being in a "boarding" environment. We also ask that you provide your dog's food in order to minimize upset stomachs. We will provide bowls, toys, leashes, treats and blankets during training. |
| Can I visit my dog? Unfortunately due to the short amount of time we have for training we do not allow visits while going through the training program. We will update your dog's progress on our Facebook page however you should also feel free to call and ask any questions that you have during the program. |
| What are "Doggie Manners"? Doggie Manners includes but is not limited to: nipping, biting, jumping up on people, jumping on furniture, running out open doors, greeting people properly, socializing with other dogs, socializing with children, barking, whining, chewing, and other destructive behaviors. |
