Private Training / Behavior Modification

PRIVATE TRAINING

Our Private Training program consists of either a one time 2 hour in-home training session or our Private
Training Program.  During our one time appointment we will cover the specific problem areas and training
requests that you have made with our office.  This program is designed for families who want to work on
a few specific behavior problems and is not designed to teach obedience.    Our Private Training Program
consists of 3 in-home training sessions.  This program is designed to teach you how to work with your dog
on learning the Basic Obedience commands and address some of the household "doggie manners" issues
that you may be having.  These appointments are offered on various weekdays, evenings and weekends
depending on availability.   Please contact our office for scheduling assistance.

BEHAVIORAL MODIFICATION

Behavioral Modification appointments are designed to work through severe behavioral problems.  Many
dogs suffer from anxiety, fear, and dominance which can lead to aggressive behaviors.  Behavioral
Modification lessons are designed for each individual client and their needs.  When dealing with severe
behavioral issues, patience is the key.  Depending on the severity of your dog's situation we may
recommend our Behavior Modification Boarding and Training Program of we may suggest individual
lessons.  The boarding and training program is generally a 6 week program.  The individual appointments
may be as quick as 15-20 minutes of socialization time or may be as long as an hour depending on the
circumstances.  We do offer a free evaluation prior to beginning this program.  Please contact our office
for availability and to discuss your specific needs.
I should be involved in
my dog's training, right?
This is a decision to be made by
you, the owner.  At K-9 Bootcamp
all of our programs are designed
for easy transference - whether
we are working in a boarding and
training capacity or in private
lessons.  In some situations we will
recommend that you utilize Private
Training if it is less stressful for
your dog.  In others we may
recommend boarding and training
as a better option to deal with the
issues at hand.  Each case is
different just as each dog is
different.
Does my dog need
Behavioral Modification?

Behavioral Modification is typically
designed for dogs with severe
issues.  Some dogs will not do well
in a boarding and training capacity
and should be worked with at a
slower pace.  The best way to
determine what program is right
for your dog is to consult our
office and potentially schedule a
free evaluation.
